Our Floor

Alpha Iota provides the fist floor of Northwest Leoser to their members for housing. This dormitory floor is known as the Sigma Floor. Alpha Iota has occupied this floor for over seventy years, and it is a privilege that our members get to share a common living space with each other. 

Living on the Sigma Floor promotes perpetual bonds of friendship, allows for members to be more involved inside and outside of the organization, as well as providing a safe and welcoming environment for all who reside there.

“Living on the floor has provided some of my favorite Sigma memories! There is always someone down that hall to laugh with you or hug you when you're having a bad day. Staying up late, sitting in the hallway, eating snacks, and telling stories is the best way to get close with your sisters and is definitely one of my favorite things to do on the Sigma floor!”

“I decided to move on the floor my sophomore year in Sigma and it made the experience so much more impactful. I lived with the women whom I called sisters and learned so much about them and what sisterhood was about. After living on the floor, I became the floor manager because I enjoyed the aspect of living on the floor so much!”
